Important! Many persons ask why do we dig out the bulbs since they can be left in the soil till the next year. Indeed, but digging them out is much more advantageous. Firstly, because we get an opportunity to propagate them - to separate the new bulbs. Secondly, the bulbs can be segregated. The old, weak and unhealthy bulbs can be get rid of, leaving only the best, elite specimens. Thirdly, the bulbs will not be left in soil unnecessarily, with the risk of fungus infections in case of a wet summer.
